Financial Controller Watford £70,000 + car allowance

Our client is a global construction business headquartered in Watford. They have recently committed to establishing a new niche sector construction division with revenues anticipated being in excess of £300 million by 2017. The have recently approached us to assist them in sourcing a high calibre financial controller who will be responsible for overseeing the finances of the new entity and be a cornerstone of the management team.

Reporting to the regional finance director this high profile position requires excellent communication skills to develop cross functional relationships in order to best support the evolving needs of the business. Technical accounting skills will be a necessity to ensure accurate statutory reporting and the provision of suitable financial support. You will also be responsible for value duties such as recruiting and developing a finance team, leading regular review meetings plus reviewing and amending forecasts. Other responsibilities will include partnering with operational teams providing the financial support required on sizeable construction projects.

Ideally you will a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with previous construction sector experience. This is an excellent role for an individual looking for a controllers role in a business that encourages autonomy and development.
